King Fahd University for Petroleum and Minerals was intending to construct a classrooms building in the University compound, together with a multi-purpose hall and a mosque.

The project was intended to include classrooms of different sizes with capacity of more than 500 students, as well as a public lecture hall for 500 students equipped with all necessary facilities, and offices for departments heads. Environmental factors were specifically considered.
